sos! i can’t start exercising
These are the most common reasons our community members can’t seem to start with Face Yoga…and some advice on how to overcome them. Remember, it’s a journey, not a one time thing.
1.Lack of motivation - What can motivate you more are the photos of before/after that you can find in our Face Yoga community group, or if you are younger, a good motivation is knowing that if you do face yoga, your face appearance will age slower and softer
2. It’s difficult to find time - You don’t always need to plan face exercises. Find couple of exercises that you like, learn them, and do the exercises on your bed, sofa while you watch TV or while you do something else, if you really battle with time!
3. I’m not sure if I move the right muscles - Always use a mirror if you're a beginner to see yourself. I know it might be a bit complicated because you have to press pause in the video, but especially if you're unsure, it's a must. As long as you're not sagging the skin, making too much pressure with your hands, or making too much wrinkles, you'll be ok! You can see all of that in the mirror and feel it on your face - it shouldn't feel to difficult for the muscles or too rough on the skin. The perfect solution would be to learn with someone who can correct you - if you have a face yoga teacher nearby where you live, they could definitely help! I am putting a video of face muscle awareness on my list as I see many people here are not certain if they use the correct muscles
4. I don’t know where to begin - You have 3 options: 1. Start with 5 weeks beginner's program (I’ll leave the link down below) where you activate all of the bigger face muscles, develop awareness of moving and lifting your face muscles. If you don't want to commit for entire 5 weeks, you can do the 1st week, and then continue with the option - 2. Do the first week of beginner's program and then continue with specific areas that you wish to work on the most on your face (reducing eye wrinkles, lifting your cheeks, double chin, or whatever it is that you wish to do). Option number 3. Private classes with me - I give private classes where we focus on on your needs and I make a personalized 1 month program with the exercises that you require
5. I can’t find the routine that I would like to do every day - Although the 5 weeks program for the beginner’s is a structured program, you can, however, make your own little routine, learn the exercises you like/need the most, and then do your own routine daily
